Key Responsibilities:
- Offer daily support and guidance to software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists regarding the utilization of GCP Dataproc and Dataflow services, including tasks such as job and cluster creation, and error handling.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues encountered on GCP and Hadoop platforms, encompassing Dataproc, Dataflow, Hive, Spark, Oozie, Kafka, NiFi, and related systems.
- Conduct testing and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for various Dataproc and Dataflow use cases.
- Participate in monthly On-Call rotation.
- Secondary responsibilities involve providing operational support for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software on Linux servers, requiring basic Linux system administration skills.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Python/Pyspark programming languages.
- Experience with Dataflow and Dataproc technologies.
- Competency in SQL.
- Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
Preferred skills:
- Ability to code in Terraform.
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
- Experience with Tekton Pipeline.
- Proficiency in coding with Apache Beam.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
