Key Responsibilities:
- Curate, construct, and convert raw data into scalable information resources.
- Develop long-term strategies and initiatives for junior engineers.
- Monitor the progress of various projects closely.
- Foster seamless collaboration between sales and engineering teams.
- Offer managerial guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting holistic growth.
- Ensure alignment across the team and encourage individuals to take ownership of their respective projects.
- Facilitate accessibility to extracted data, enabling organizations to optimize performance.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Possesses a minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience.
- Has 1+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data systems, including Kafka, Apache Spark/EMR, Hive/Impala, Delta lake, Presto, and Airflow.
- Demonstrates 1+ years of experience in implementing and fine-tuning Spark/Delta Lake/Presto implementations for terabyte-scale data.
- Proficient in software development using one or more programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
- Has 1+ years of experience building streaming solutions with technologies like Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, or Samza.
- Exhibits a strong understanding of the AWS Big Data stack.
Preferred Skills:
- Contributed as a contributor/commitor to the big data stack.
- Possesses experience in data modeling and end-to-end data pipelining.
- Familiar with OLAP data cubes and various Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Proficient in ELK, Redis, and MySQL.
- Knowledgeable in RxJava, Java Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
