Key Responsibilities:
- Develop deep subject matter expertise in relevant tax systems, processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of multiple business lines across the organization by gaining broad exposure to various divisions and functional groups.
- Apply an inquisitive and analytical mindset to identify control weaknesses, mitigate risks, enhance client experience, and support further process automation.
- Provide effective support to the team and contribute to team development and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Manage risk through ongoing assessment and monitoring of the tax regulatory environment and the organization’s compliance with applicable tax reporting obligations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement technology best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while taking ownership of deliverables, deadlines, and business outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of taxation and financial products, including equities, derivatives, and bonds.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of SQL and Alteryx considered an added advantage.
- Knowledge of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), Nonresident Alien (NRA) taxation, and backup withholding requirements.
- Prior experience in Tax Operations or a strong understanding of broker-dealer tax obligations.
- Knowledge of FATCA tax documentation, including W-8 and W-9 forms, as well as 1099 and 1042-S reporting requirements.
- Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and translate it into effective solutions for risk mitigation and compliance requirements.
