Role Description:
- Perform financial accounting and product control activities for a wide range of international banking products.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of banking products in compliance with IFRS 9 and applicable local GAAP requirements.
- Design, document, and maintain financial accounting processes, including end-to-end transaction flows and controls.
- Analyze and interpret transaction details to ensure correct booking, classification, and reporting within financial systems.
- Support the maintenance, governance, and accuracy of the Chart of Accounts across products, business units, and legal entities.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Product Control, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to identify, investigate, and resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and documentation standards.
- Provide support during audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong experience in financial accounting, product control, or Front Office functions within an international banking environment.
- Solid understanding of core banking products, including loans, deposits, derivatives, and securities, along with their accounting treatment.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, documenting, and maintaining financial accounting processes.
- Good understanding of transaction descriptions and their impact on accounting entries and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience applying IFRS 9 and relevant local GAAP accounting standards.
- Strong knowledge of Chart of Accounts structures and familiarity with financial and accounting systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in large global or regional banking institutions.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting requirements and audit engagements.
