Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a member of the Software Center of Excellence, representing and promoting high-quality design and development practices.
- Develop high-performing, scalable, and innovative end-to-end web applications.
- Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and software developers to implement solutions that align with and enhance shared platforms and architectures.
- Apply principles of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, continuous integration (CI), software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques.
- Write code that meets established standards and delivers the required functionality using the technologies selected for the project.
- Build features such as web services and create queries on existing database tables.
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using the programming language of choice.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Experience in developing web applications using frameworks and technologies such as Spring, RESTful services, Jersey, RestEasy, JAX-WS, and Web Services.
- Experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, EmberJS, and KnockoutJS.
- Experience working with database tools such as JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, and Spring Data.
- Experience with rules engines like Camel, Drools, and JRules, as well as modern tooling such as Gradle, Maven, Git, and SVN.
- Solid understanding of the infrastructure required to run large distributed web applications.
- Ability to break down problems and provide time estimates for development tasks.
- Ability to make basic technology choices based on prior experience.
- Demonstrates awareness of competitors, industry trends, and best practices.
