Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Service (85%)
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients or new products for existing clients, ensuring proper setup on relevant systems.
- Collaborate with the KYC team to collect and verify all required KYC documentation and complete periodic KYC refreshes across the portfolio.
- Maintain internal records, pipelines, and databases of potential and existing customers.
- Provide daily support and service to customers, addressing their needs effectively.
- Coordinate introductions to other areas within Barclays Group when appropriate, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Prepare management information (MI) reports for internal stakeholders and team meetings.
- Develop and deliver client meeting presentations, involving product specialists as required.
- Gather information for and participate in customer meetings.
- Assist in creating and updating Client Relationship Plans.
- Work with Relationship Directors to identify potential new clients and maintain a database of opportunities.
- Implement and oversee a robust contact strategy to improve and grow client satisfaction.
- Accurately manage and document customer complaints in compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring positive customer outcomes.
- Conduct annual client reviews and provide recommendations to Relationship Directors for improvements.
Deal Management and Support (15%)
- Coordinate the execution of transactions and implementation of products by liaising with product specialists, internal support functions, and other advisors to ensure a seamless client experience and appropriate risk management.
- Utilize credit analysis and transaction management skills to collaborate with Credit Risk Managers, Debt Finance specialists, and Transaction Management teams for evaluating and executing large structured transactions.
- Operate within the organization’s risk appetite and adhere to established lending procedures.
- Continuously enhance credit knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain high standards of data quality and ensure compliance with mandatory risk policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to governance policies and controls related to credit conformance, regulatory requirements, operational risk, legal risk, and financial crime.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Barclays’ governance policies and uphold the highest standards of risk management.
Accountabilities:
- Execute small research projects, conduct research to support strategic decision-making, and prepare presentations and reports to effectively communicate research findings.
- Collaborate with senior management to implement research insights for international corporate banking and support deal-making with global clients.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support and drive business initiatives.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical and professional skills.
- Identify business opportunities, develop cases for new products and services, and oversee their deployment and launch within the international corporate banking sector.
- Manage client relationships by providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries about products and services, processing transactions, and ensuring client satisfaction under decreasing levels of supervision.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies to support decision-making processes in international corporate banking.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues to support their growth and development.
