Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver new Python features for Ansible Collections.
- Submit patches for bug fixes and conduct peer reviews.
- Write unit tests and integration tests, ensuring thorough testing in a production environment.
- Contribute to release management activities.
- Promote the team’s work through team demos and presentations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ months of experience in software development using Python.
Preferred skills:
- Strong object-oriented software development skills.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
- Ability to quickly learn container and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with the Linux operating system, including Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with various deployment models, such as cloud, virtualization, and containers.
- Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control systems.
- Passion for open-source technologies; prior involvement in open-source communities and development is a plus.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
