Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain a productive and innovative team environment by collaborating with peers, managers, and other teams.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to determine the most effective solutions for problem-solving.
- Apply knowledge from computer science courses to address real-world challenges.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree program, or have post-secondary education/training in software development or a related technical field.
- Experience in software development.
- Proficiency in coding with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
Preferred skills:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: web application development, Unix/Linux environments, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, large software systems development, or security software development.
- Knowledge of data structures or algorithms gained through academic coursework, work experience, or personal projects (including open-source contributions).
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 6 months outside of university term time.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to participate in complex technical discussions.
