Key Responsibilities for Analyst:
- Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with the valued positions in the trading book, investigating and resolving discrepancies to reflect the true economic value of the trading portfolio.
- Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks, and report these financial risks to senior colleagues.
- Maintain and analyze the bank’s trading data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency, providing insights to traders and senior colleagues on trading performance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities, support external audits by addressing auditor queries, and ensure trading activities are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Communicate complex financial information effectively to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a coordinated approach to trading activities.
Key Responsibilities for Data Analyst:
- Identify and extract relevant data from various internal and external sources.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing models.
- Develop and implement data quality control procedures.
- Build and validate quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
