Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirement documents.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Participate in agile team meetings, including stand-up calls and retrospective meetings.
- Prepare technical documentation as required by the SDLC process.
- Collaborate with various internal teams at State Street.
- Understand Cloud Computing fundamentals, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, NaaS, and other AWS & Azure services.
- Apply DevOps concepts, such as CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, and Harness.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk/Dynatrace and Grafana for presentation and dashboards.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering and ITIL processes using tools like ServiceNow and Jira/Confluence.
- Understand concepts of databases, middleware, storage, and operating environments (Windows, Unix).
- Employ automation tools and languages (R, Python, Ansible (AAAS), RPA – Blue Prism), and Django for network configuration automation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Combination of academic aptitude, analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrate a culture of individual ownership of tasks to ensure clear personal accountability in performing the role.
- Exhibit the highest level of the Code of Conduct in behavior.
- Support and promote a ‘Risk Excellence’ culture within the business.
- Adhere to delegation limits and escalation procedures as required by your manager to comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Preferred skills:
- Working knowledge and skills in GUI development with Java middle-tier and database back-end to create end-to-end solutions is desirable.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and common practices such as code reviews and unit testing.
- Good understanding of SQL performance tuning techniques, including query plan understanding and management, SQL tracing, database statistics, indexing techniques, etc., is highly preferred.
- Proficient in managing and resolving issues on a live production system.
- Candidates must be recent graduates and available to work on a full-time basis starting July 2024.
