Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of system test plans for Layer 0 (DWDM) and Layer 1 (OTN and Ethernet) based long-haul, DCI, and metro optical systems.
- Execute Layer 0 and Layer 1 protocol-based feature testing, including FCAPS, Northbound Interface (NBI) automation, security, and related functionalities.
- Participate in the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by analyzing system requirements and developing comprehensive test plans.
- Contribute to the validation and qualification of next-generation operating systems based on standard software architectures, including microservices and container-based platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize test scenarios based on customer requirements and support timely feature delivery.
- Develop and automate test scenarios using standard programming platforms to improve test coverage, enable repeated execution, and enhance product quality.
- Take ownership of product qualification activities and independently deliver high-quality testing outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science (CS), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related engineering discipline with a strong academic record.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software or system testing.
- Experience in embedded optical network element system testing, including OTN, Ethernet, GMPLS, DWDM, NBI interfaces (CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC), and system security.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, test execution, defect management, and issue tracking using configuration management tools.
- Working knowledge of system control plane technologies and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking products is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Python or an equivalent programming language for test automation development.
- Experience working with Northbound Interfaces (NBI), including CLI, NETCONF, RESTCONF, and gRPC, for embedded system features.
- Hands-on experience testing microservices and container-based applications.
- Experience using process and configuration management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git.
