Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize application development procedures, concepts, and foundational knowledge of related technical domains to identify, analyze, and define required system enhancements.
- Perform testing and debugging activities, leverage scripting tools, and develop basic code to support application functionality and performance.
- Evaluate the applicability of prior experiences, analyze available options, and make informed decisions in situations not fully addressed by established procedures.
- Develop a strong understanding of Citi’s information systems, processes, standards, client-server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to new or junior analysts to enhance team effectiveness and knowledge sharing.
- Assess and manage risk effectively while making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, upholding ethical standards, safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation, clients, and assets, and proactively escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree, university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and practical experience in Java, J2EE, HTML/CSS, Angular, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts, Spring, and microservices.
- Possess a thorough understanding of fundamental programming concepts, including exception handling, static blocks, variables and classes, object-oriented programming, collections, multithreading, HTTP sessions, session management, Servlet/JSP life cycles, JDBC, actions, events, implicit objects, and custom tags.
- Have experience with industry-standard databases such as Oracle on UNIX platforms, along with knowledge of database design, SQL scripting, and performance tuning.
- Have familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG.
- Possess awareness of application servers and web servers.
- Experience in developing transactional applications requiring low latency and high availability is preferred.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS and Kafka is an added advantage.
- Have exposure to DevOps tools and platforms such as GitHub, Jenkins, Lightspeed, and Harness.
