Key Responsibilities:
- Work with large and complex datasets to solve challenging, non-routine analytical problems using advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct end-to-end analysis, including data gathering, requirement specification, data processing, analysis, and preparation of ongoing deliverables and presentations.
- Develop and present business recommendations, such as cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, and experiment evaluation, using clear and effective data visualizations for stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Research, design, and implement analytical, forecasting, and optimization methods to enhance the quality of user-facing products, including ads and search.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to propose, support, and shape data-driven and privacy-preserving advertising and marketing solutions.
- Apply a combination of large-scale experimentation, statistical and econometric techniques, machine learning, and social science methodologies to solve business problems at scale.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline, or possess equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in statistical programming tools such as R, Python, S-Plus, SAS, or similar technologies.
- Have internship or professional experience working with data, along with exposure to quantitative methodologies, statistical analysis, and causal inference techniques.
Preferred Skills:
- Possess a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate experience in statistical data analysis techniques, including linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic modeling, and sampling methods.
- Have experience applying machine learning techniques to large-scale datasets.
- Exhibit the ability to interpret data insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
- Show capability to mentor or teach others while continuously learning advanced techniques such as differential privacy.
- Demonstrate the ability to select and apply appropriate statistical methods based on the nature of the data and business problem.
