Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret requirements, design specifications, and functional documents to define test requirements and develop comprehensive test cases.
- Participate in feature requirement reviews and perform analysis to enhance the effectiveness and coverage of existing test cases.
- Develop testware and test scripts, and execute firmware functional tests in accordance with established testing guidelines and standards.
- Identify, debug, and investigate test failures, and report, document, and track anomalies for timely resolution.
- Report testing progress to the Team Lead and Manager, and escalate issues promptly when required.
- Prepare detailed test reports to document test execution results, observations, and outcomes.
- Contribute to test Key Performance Indicator (KPI) deliverables and ensure testing objectives are achieved.
- Perform regression testing to validate system stability and ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes.
- Participate in multiple testing cycles, including functional testing, system testing, safety testing, cybersecurity testing, and firmware testing.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives aimed at improving testing capabilities by adopting and implementing the latest tools and technologies.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of technical experience in software or system testing.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing, including hardware testing, firmware testing, and software testing.
- Practical knowledge of test engineering processes such as Agile, Continuous Integration, and Waterfall methodologies, along with expertise in test case design and test coverage optimization.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including programming skills in scripting languages, preferably Python.
- Hands-on experience in Ladder programming.
- Exposure to industrial automation and PLC applications is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products, including Allen-Bradley controllers, I/O modules, controller families, PanelView/HMI systems, and RSLogix 5000/500 application software. Experience in test lab development is an added advantage.
- Experience using bug and anomaly tracking tools for defect management and evaluation.
- Demonstrated passion for testing and a strong curiosity to explore and learn new technologies.
