Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop infrastructure for data, with a primary focus on supporting machine learning applications.
- Define and implement database architectures to integrate and maintain data integrity across multiple sources.
- Optimize the performance of data systems to support machine learning, customer-facing web and mobile applications, highly available RESTful services, and back-end Java-based systems.
- Analyze large, fast, and complex data sets to address challenging, non-routine problems using advanced data handling techniques.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, including implementing, testing, and maintaining components of the data engineering stack.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and develop, validate, and deploy data science and machine learning solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proficient in Python, with strong expertise in Pandas, data wrangling, ETL processes, Spark, statistics, data visualization, data modeling, and Informatica.
- Extensive experience with scalable compute solutions such as Kafka and Snowflake.
- Skilled in using workflow management libraries and tools, including Airflow and AWS Step Functions.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering practices, including data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of machine learning methods, algorithms, pipelines, testing practices, and frameworks.
- Academic qualifications: B.Tech, BE, MEng, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields (preference for Data Science/Artificial Intelligence).
- Experience in designing and implementing tools that facilitate data, code, and practice sharing across organizations at scale.
