Key Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical designs for software applications.
- Create or revise software documentation to align with current application architecture.
- Participate in code reviews as necessary.
- Update existing software applications to accommodate changes and enhancements outlined in user stories.
- Conduct unit testing, validation, and documentation for all new applications, including new versions of existing applications, utilizing appropriate validation protocols, testing methodologies, and documentation practices.
- Offer technical support and guidance to internal and external application users by:
- Addressing inquiries related to application design and functionality.
- Assisting Application Support Personnel in troubleshooting (level III).
- Ensuring application functionality, including database integrity, data loading, data quality assurance, and data export.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Uphold Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:
- Familiarizing oneself with and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”).
- Assisting in the establishment and enforcement of departmental standards.
- Contribute to team efforts by:
- Collaborating with internal staff to resolve issues.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance organizational and departmental processes.
- Supporting others in achieving objectives.
- Maintain Technical and Industry Knowledge by:
- Participating in relevant company-sponsored training sessions.
- Staying informed about software development trends and technologies.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements applicable to application development in clinical trials.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Coursework in software development and proficiency in major programming languages are advantageous.
- Desired qualifications include certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer or Sun Certified Java Developer.
- Possess at least 1 year of experience in software development using commercial programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML, and XML.
- Previous engagement as a member of an Agile software delivery team.
- Demonstrated comprehension of the development and quality assurance (QA) processes.
- Experience in working with clinical trials and/or within a pharmaceutical environment is considered beneficial.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
