Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data and analytics solutions, overseeing the management of our extensive data infrastructure to meet the analytics requirements of Amazon IN.
- Develop solutions aimed at achieving Best At Amazon (BAA) standards for data availability, consistency, and compliance.
- Collaborate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, utilizing SQL, Amazon, and AWS big data technologies.
- Champion operational excellence within the team, devising automations and mechanisms to streamline operations effectively.
- Facilitate efficient data exploration and experimentation with large datasets on our platform, implementing data access control mechanisms for standalone datasets.
- Architect and deploy scalable and cost-effective data and analytics infrastructure to support use cases beyond Amazon IN, including Emerging Marketplaces and Worldwide scenarios, on our data platform.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a dynamic work environment.
- Collaborate closely with peers, contributing to a team of highly skilled and talented engineers.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possesses at least 1 year of experience in data engineering.
- Demonstrates proficiency with SQL.
- Skilled in data modeling, warehousing, and constructing ETL pipelines.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell).
- Familiarity with data visualization software (e.g., AWS QuickSight or Tableau) or open-source alternatives.
Preferred skills:
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR.
- Familiarity with any ETL tool such as Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.
- Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure.
