Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize foundational knowledge of trading inquiries that can be addressed through data analysis.
- Evaluate the quality and comprehensiveness of datasets, contributing to the prioritization and execution of structured data and analytical tool enhancement initiatives aligned with trading opportunities.
- Foster collaboration with regional and global teams to ensure efficient aggregation, centralization, and utilization of pertinent data for analysis in a systematic, reproducible, and precise manner, under the supervision of managers and senior analysts.
- Collaborate with fellow data analysts to ensure the validation of dataset quality and coverage.
- Contribute to the formulation and development of scalable, integrated data systems and processes, emphasizing continual enhancement of analytical techniques and tools, overseen by supervisors and senior team members.
- Address routine issues and challenges with supervision, while escalating more intricate problems to appropriate personnel.
- Perform additional duties as delegated.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience.
- Capability to comprehend business needs and provide advisory support to internal teams.
- Familiarity with agricultural trading operations and adeptness in discerning the data pertinent to trading value.
- Proficiency in working with both relational and distributed data systems.
- Proficient in utilizing data visualization tools for the development and deployment of insights and reports.
- Additional minimum qualifications may be applicable.
Preferred skills:
- Proficiency in crafting queries using various programming languages.
- Familiarity with scientific programming languages.
- Knowledge of working with relational databases or distributed file storage applications.
- Understanding of commodity trading markets.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with data or data warehousing systems.
