Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct code reviews, develop unit tests, and participate in architectural planning and refactoring processes.
- Address bug-fixing tasks and enhance application performance.
- Create and implement new features and enhancements for the Android platform.
- Provide mentorship to interns and offer support to team members.
- Work closely with QA, Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline, develop, and deliver new features.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech), Computer Applications (BCA), or Science (BSc) in any discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant role.
Preferred skills:
- Experience working on two or more Android apps previously.
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and its ecosystem.
- Familiar with Material Design guidelines, common mobile UX patterns, and anti-patterns.
- Experience with common Android libraries such as Retrofit, OkHttp, Picasso, RxJava, Gson, Arch-components, etc.
- Proficient in various programming paradigms, particularly functional and reactive programming.
- Knowledgeable about consuming REST APIs and understanding RESTful principles.
- Proficient in Git and continuous integration practices.
- Skilled in object-oriented programming and multi-threading.
- Understanding of advanced Android concepts like Custom Views, Accessibility Services, and background processing APIs.
- Knowledge of different architectural patterns, especially MVVM, and their testability.
- Proficient in debugging, including identifying memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, and using tools like ADB, Proguard, etc.
- Ability to discern good design from bad design.
- Capability to write clean, maintainable code that can be collaborated on by others.
- Having apps published on the Play Store is advantageous.
