Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Catchpoints’ node infrastructure and address Linux server issues across various third-party data centers and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Conduct OS/application upgrades and oversee server migrations to new environments.
- Accept and log incidents reported by the Support team.
- Categorize incidents based on specified options or categories.
- Attempt initial resolution of customer incidents and escalate as per SLA guidelines.
- Track the progress of assigned incident tickets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring resolution within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and update ticket statuses accordingly.
- Escalate to appropriate levels or management when thresholds are exceeded.
- Manage operational aspects of incident management, ensuring adherence to SLAs for time, quality, and customer satisfaction across our global infrastructure.
- Directly oversee workload and priorities of Operations team triage functions, promptly assessing business impact and identifying restoration plans.
- Communicate with customers and executive management through written and verbal channels, providing status updates on major incidents affecting business or revenue.
- Demonstrate agility in understanding new tool/process requirements and drive their implementation to enhance efficiency and service excellence.
- Collaborate closely with other groups and management to define and disseminate best practices across support functions.
- Exhibit strategic thinking, quantitative and analytical skills, and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer/client interaction.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a BE/BTech/MCA in Computer Science & Networking, graduating in 2022/2023.
- Possesses 0-6 months of professional experience.
- Preference for certification in Linux.
- Demonstrates basic troubleshooting skills in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and network troubleshooting using ping and traceroute.
- Shows a basic understanding of Bash/Shell Scripting and Web Server.
- Exhibits a fundamental grasp of large-scale networking concepts, encompassing OSI Model, DNS, SSL/TLS, WINS, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, Routing, ACLs, and switching.
- Familiarity with Linux virtualization (KVM) is considered advantageous.
- Willingness to work in a 24|5 rotational shift environment.
