Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct early performance exploration of ARM CPUs, assessing microarchitectural improvements, evaluating performance-power trade-offs, and contributing to the design of next-generation Qualcomm IPs/Products.
- Identify bottlenecks and limitations within existing CPU subsystems, and provide recommendations for hardware and software enhancements.
- Evaluate new CPU architecture features within the ARM ecosystem, analyze their potential performance-power benefits for our products, and drive software optimizations accordingly.
- Collaborate with benchmark development companies such as Geekbench, Antutu, etc., to select and optimize benchmarks and workloads that highlight the strengths of Qualcomm IPs.
- Implement software optimizations based on CPU microarchitectural improvements to enhance overall performance.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Bachelors/Masters in Electrical/CS/ECE
Preferred skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of computer architecture and CPU microarchitecture.
- Proficiency in logical programming using C/C++, Assembly, and scripting languages.
- In-depth knowledge of the software stack, including Linux internals and device drivers.
- Experience in benchmarking and performance analysis of ARM CPUs.
