Key Responsibilities:
- Understand Requirements:
- Collaborates with stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to ascertain user requirements for specific features, incorporating continuous feedback loops to gauge customer value.
- Design:
- Participates in the architecture process for product/solution features, contributing to design proposals and refining code plans under technical leadership.
- Develops code to test technical solutions, assisting in technical validation efforts.
- Contributes to the development of design documents for simple designs or user stories, helping determine technology choices and interactions.
- Coding:
- Creates and implements code for products, services, or features under guidance, emphasizing reusability and maintainability.
- Writes code that is extensible and maintainable, understanding diagnosability, reliability, and readiness for sharing and delivery.
- Applies coding patterns and best practices.
- Implementation:
- Reviews work items to understand product features, assists in breaking down work items into tasks, and provides estimations.
- Reliability and Supportability:
- Participates in operations of live services on a rotational, on-call basis, identifying solutions and mitigations for issues affecting performance or functionality.
- Engineering Excellence:
- Stays updated with current developments, actively seeking new knowledge to enhance product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance, while ensuring consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
- Embody Culture and Values:
- Demonstrates and upholds organizational culture and values.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with demonstrated experience in coding using languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in software design, development, and engineering within collaborative team environments, with at least one year of experience.
- Proficiency and familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Java).
- Experience in implementing solutions based on cloud computing platforms.
- Technical proficiency in Azure cloud architecture and services (including IaaS, containers, orchestrators), or equivalent experience with AWS or GCP.
- Proficiency in developing scalable distributed solutions designed for cloud-scale resilience.
- Knowledge of Azure Services, networking, and security is highly advantageous.
- Exhibits a positive team-oriented attitude, emphasizing inclusion, conscious collaboration, a growth mindset, leading by example, and customer obsession.
- Demonstrates a strong desire to learn and adapt to evolving cloud technologies.
