Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Understanding (20%)
- Comprehend both functional and non-functional requirements alongside the business context of application development.
- Engage in meetings and discussions aimed at requirement comprehension and resolution of clarification issues.
- Test Planning, Design, Execution, and Defect Management (60%)
- Develop and document test scenarios and manual test cases catering to functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute test cases and maintain comprehensive test logs.
- Report identified defects during execution using the designated defect management tool.
- Investigate bugs to pinpoint the root cause and document findings in bug-tracking software, while understanding the areas impacted by suggested development resolutions.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure resolution of testing-discovered bugs, conduct retesting, and update status accordingly.
- Team Collaboration (20%)
- Actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, including sprint reviews.
- Assist the scrum team in achieving the sprint goal, even beyond QA functions when necessary.
- Provide support during application deployment as required.
- Assume ownership of tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Business, or Information Technology.
- 0-1+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience as an Individual Contributor.
- Familiarity with basic hands-on test management and defect management.
- Proficiency in Functional testing, Regression testing, Smoke testing, and Automation testing.
- Knowledge of programming languages including Java, JavaScript, C#, Python.
- Strong reasoning skills and understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban.
- Competency in Bug Reporting, Test Execution, and Test Case Writing.
- Willingness to undertake occasional short travels for business or team collaboration.
Preferred skills:
- Solid grasp of fundamental testing concepts.
- Basic understanding of test management tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with product heads and executive-level stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in analytical problem-solving.
