Key Responsibilities for Data Center Engineering Intern:
- Tailor responsibilities based on the specific project area requirements.
- Adapt and modify tasks according to the distinct needs of each project.
Key Responsibilities for STEP Intern:
- Contribute to repair, upgrade, deployment, and cabling activities.
- Identify machine failure trends, report bugs, and collaborate with remote teams for resolution.
- Communicate effectively with clients and partners.
- Participate in deployment and maintenance projects, offering support for current and new data center infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related challenges on servers, addressing critical or escalated technical issues across a substantial population of affected equipment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in installing a Network or Linux system.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
Preferred skills:
- Proficient understanding of fundamental concepts in Network and Linux systems.
- Capability to comprehend and develop data center architectures, products, system design, operations, maintenance, and procedures.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, utilizing tools to generate highly accurate analyses that meet safety requirements.
- Available for full-time commitment for a minimum of 6 months outside of university term time.
- Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program with the intention of returning after completing the internship.
- Demonstrated excellent programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, and Python.
