Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the architecture design and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and optimized data solutions.
- Design, construct, and automate the deployment of data pipelines and applications to meet the reporting and data requirements of data scientists and researchers.
- Integrate data from diverse sources, including on-premise databases and external data sources via REST APIs and harvesting tools.
- Collaborate with internal business units and data science teams to understand business requirements, data access, processing/transformation, and reporting needs. Utilize existing and new tools to provide effective solutions.
- Support and partner with businesses in the implementation, technical problem resolution, and training related to the datalake ecosystem.
- Collaborate with the team in managing AWS resources (EMR, ECS clusters, Lambda, Glue, etc.) and continuously improve the deployment process of applications.
- Work with administrative resources to support provisioning, monitoring, configuration, and maintenance of AWS tools.
- Advocate for the integration of new cloud technologies and continually assess new tools that enhance organizational capabilities while reducing total operating costs.
- Support automation initiatives across the data analytics team using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) through tools like Terraform, Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) tools such as Jenkins.
- Collaborate with the team to implement data governance, access control, and identify and mitigate security risks.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Possess 0.5-2 years of experience in solution design and development of cloud-based data models, ETL pipelines, and infrastructure for reporting, analytics, and data science.
Preferred skills:
- Demonstrate experience in working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Have hands-on experience with Spark, Hive, HDFS, MR, Apache Kafka/AWS Kinesis.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and Subversion.
- Experience using automated build systems (CI/CD).
- Proficient in different programming languages, including Java, Python, and Scala.
- Demonstrate expertise in data structures and algorithms.
- Knowledgeable about various database technologies (Relational, NoSQL, Graph, Document, Key-Value, Time Series), including building and managing scalable data models.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, particularly AWS.
- Understanding of TDD/BDD practices.
- Exhibit a strong desire to enhance skills in ETL, software development, frameworks, and technologies.
