Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in the agile development methodology and consistently apply it in day-to-day tasks.
- Ensure the adoption of DevOps principles in applications within the designated domain.
- Conduct impact assessments of change requests and incidents for applications/products in the domain.
- Collaborate as a valuable member of scrum teams, delivering technical stories within sprint cycles.
- Take responsibility for story-based development, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
- Ensure the production of high-quality code, achieving a consistent SQALE A rating with no technical debt within SonarQube.
- Engage in application development activities, contributing effectively to agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to maintain high velocity.
- Document all work in accordance with established standards, with an emphasis on reusability.
- Provide timely progress reports on assigned activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum qualification – Engineering Graduate or MCA (or equivalent degree).
- Experience working in an IT project environment, preferably in the banking and financial sector, is a must.
- Strong skills in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Concepts, Core Java 8/11, Java Enterprise Edition 6 (e.g., EJB, JMS, JPA, MDB, JAX-RS), and other middleware frameworks such as Apache Camel and Spring, multi-threading, and unit testing are essential.
- Solid understanding of application server configurations is required.
- Hands-on knowledge of RESTful API and at least one RDBMS is necessary.
- Proficient in Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, Pair programming, and System integration.
- Strong skills in the build process, such as Maven.
Preferred skills:
- Understanding of agile development methodology, with a commitment to practicing it in day-to-day work.
- Responsible for producing high-quality code that consistently achieves an SQALE A rating with no technical debt within SonarQube.
- Understanding of Kafka/MQ integration is essential.
- Understanding of the Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes.
