Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements derivation through delivery.
- Review product specifications and generate comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Collaborate within an Agile engineering process as a member of a SCRUM team, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality product each sprint.
- Develop test cases with meticulous attention to detail and execute them effectively.
- Create and maintain an automated testing suite for the user interface (UI).
- Conduct cross-browser testing in modern browsers such as Chrome, IE11, Firefox, and Safari.
- Develop automated tests for both the REST API and web interface using test automation frameworks like Cucumber, Mocha, Karma, and Selenium with node.js and JavaScript.
- Identify and address QA and testing issues, supporting the QA Lead to ensure the release of high-quality software.
- Evaluate testing results and document issues in a problem tracking system (Jira).
- Develop and execute performance and load tests.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Applications Systems Design, or a related Data Processing field of study.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with quality assurance (QA) in a commercial software environment.
- Experience with test automation tools.
- Demonstrated experience in owning projects and tasks, taking responsibility for their successful completion.
- Strong understanding of best practices in quality assurance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or Linux shell scripting.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Core Java, VB Scripting, and Selenium Webdriver.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML DOM structure, or CSS.
- Knowledge of XML parsing and XML-related technologies.
- Coursework or project-related work involving relational database management systems (RDBMS).
- Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and quality management.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as JIRA.
