Key Responsibilities:
- Lead innovation in AIOps: Drive the development of AI-powered operational tools that forecast, prevent, and resolve IT issues preemptively, ensuring minimal impact on customer experience.
- Master Generative AI: Explore the potential of generative models to identify anomalies, automate responses, and personalize remedial strategies.
- Excel in machine learning: Develop expertise in both supervised and unsupervised learning, crafting algorithms to analyze vast datasets, uncover patterns, and enhance system efficiency.
- Foster collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers, exchanging ideas and leveraging collective expertise.
- Drive tangible results: Your contributions will directly enhance the reliability and performance of critical Atlassian software, elevating customer satisfaction and advancing business objectives.
- Address complex architectural challenges: Collaborate with fellow principal engineers to design scalable ML pipelines and models capable of serving thousands of customers.
- Lead code reviews and documentation efforts, while also addressing intricate bug fixes, particularly for high-risk issues.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Strong grasp of machine learning principles and algorithms, covering supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Knowledge of popular machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, numpy, and pandas.
- Sound understanding of the machine learning project lifecycle.
- Experience in designing and developing high-performance RESTful microservices for API development of machine learning models.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and expertise in scaling and deploying machine learning models.
Preferred skills:
- Proficiency in utilizing cloud-based machine learning platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML Service, and Databricks.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools including MLflow, Tecton, Pinecone, and Feature Stores.
- Experience in AIOps or similar fields such as IT automation or incident management.
- Expertise in developing and managing large-scale distributed systems using Amazon Web Services, encompassing S3, Kinesis, CloudFormation, EKS, AWS Security, and Networking.
- Experience with the application of OpenAI Large Language Models (LLMs).
