Key Responsibilities for Analyst:
- Analyze and interpret business requirements to develop long-term data solutions.
- Establish and manage a central Business Data Glossary utilized across the enterprise.
- Produce conceptual and logical data models following HSBC’s Metadata methodology.
- Document data standards, Business, and Data Quality Rules.
- Support HSBC’s Data Management Framework through data governance services.
- Implement self-service visualization capabilities using RDF Knowledge Graph to extract insights.
- Advise both business and IT stakeholders on utilizing Knowledge Graph for Lineage establishment and Trusted Source determination.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend metadata governance requirements and facilitate meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) / Data Governors.
- Integrate critical data sets into the Governance framework using group strategic tools like COLLIBRA.
- Develop, sustain, and optimize meta-models for data supporting essential processes.
- Coordinate interaction with Business and IT teams to provide assistance in the analysis and documentation of metadata.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university, specializing in numerical disciplines with a focus on computer science, information systems, or other engineering fields.
- Familiarity with Conceptual/Logical Data Modeling and exposure to Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Quality assessment, along with proficiency in implementing controls using Collibra.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of Data Modeling and Metadata management.
- Desirable understanding of Graph Database/Knowledge Graph.
- Comprehensive understanding of data management frameworks including data governance, data privacy, business architecture, and data quality.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills with an aptitude for business analysis.
- Capable of comprehending complex and diverse business problems and analyzing them using limited or complex data to provide a feasible solution framework.
- Experience working on Data/Information Management projects of varying complexities.
Preferred skills:
- Possesses knowledge and comprehension of financial services and banking operations within a Global Bank environment.
- Understanding of accounting principles, data flows, and regulatory requirements such as BCBS239, B3R, CCAR, IFRS9, among others.
- Familiarity with implementing data management utilizing frameworks like DAMA, TOGAF, FIBO, or EDM.
- Capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving success.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to develop and articulate complex concepts and ideas effectively.
- Skilled at building robust relationships both internally and externally.
