Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple and diverse source systems.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to support efficient data retrieval and transformation in large-scale data environments.
- Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Apply data modeling best practices within Power BI to ensure accurate, scalable, and high-performance analytics solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in ETL workflows to maintain data accuracy, reliability, and integrity.
- Collaborate closely with business and functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and data quality standards across all data engineering and reporting processes.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs and SQL queries to meet defined SLA and operational requirements.
- Document ETL processes, data flows, and reporting logic to support transparency, knowledge sharing, and long-term maintainability.
- Provide production support and on-call assistance during the 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST shift to ensure system stability and continuity.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced joins, indexing strategies, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and best practices for data modeling.
- Proficiency with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent data integration platforms.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling using star and snowflake schemas.
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance best practices.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines for managing and deploying data solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively during the 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST shift.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric technologies, including Lakehouse, OneLake, and Dataflows Gen2, is a strong advantage.
