Key Responsibilities:
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and develop effective solutions using Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and transactions within agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Apply fundamental theories, concepts, and processes relevant to the area of work effectively.
- Collaborate with market partners to understand business problems, translate them into analytical problems, conduct analysis, and present actionable insights to decision-makers.
- Manipulate, analyze, and synthesize large and complex datasets from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Deliver high-quality and timely completion of assigned analytical or technical work deliverables.
- Support automation initiatives for repeatable tasks, report generation, and dashboard refresh processes.
- Proactively think beyond the immediate request to develop analyses and reports that provide additional business value.
- Write clean, well-structured, and computationally efficient code for analytical or automation purposes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of reusable knowledge assets, scripts, and modules on platforms such as GitHub or Wiki.
- Generate practical insights that support data-driven decision-making in business operations.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of business needs and in-depth knowledge of Tesco’s operational processes.
- Take responsibility for achieving agreed deliverables within specified performance and quality metrics.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Basic understanding of business decision-making processes and their analytical implications.
- Ability to develop visualizations, self-service dashboards, and reports using Tableau.
- Fundamental knowledge of statistical concepts such as correlation analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Basic skills in data analysis using Advanced Excel, SQL, and Hive.
- Understanding of data warehousing (DW) concepts, particularly on platforms like Hadoop and Teradata.
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Alteryx or programming in Python (preferred).
- 1–2 years of experience in analytics delivery, preferably in one of the following domains: retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), telecom, or hospitality.
- Exposure to one or more functional areas such as marketing, supply chain, customer analytics, merchandising, operations, finance, or digital analytics is preferred.
