Key Responsibilities:
- Participate as a functional member of the Product Engineering team in daily stand-ups, design reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness activities, providing operational and platform-related insights.
- Review architecture designs, pull requests, and technical solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and operational readiness for 24/7 production environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues end-to-end across applications, infrastructure, networking, databases, and cloud platforms, trace data flows, and implement solutions with minimal escalation.
- Improve operational maturity by implementing monitoring, observability, alerting, runbooks, failover strategies, performance testing, patch management, security remediation, and release validation processes.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Release Engineering, and Information Security (InfoSec) teams to enhance platform adoption, developer experience, incident response, and service reliability.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 4-6 years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering, with hands-on experience in production coding, debugging, incident resolution, and collaboration within embedded teams.
- Strong programming skills in Go and Python, with the ability to read, debug, and patch applications developed using Node.js/TypeScript, Dart/Flutter, Java, .NET, C++, and C, along with advanced SQL skills in T-SQL and PL/pgSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystems, including Amazon EKS, Helm, Cilium, cloud-native architectures, GCP/GKE, API gateways, and service mesh technologies such as Kong, Envoy, and Istio.
- Strong expertise in platform engineering, including Terraform, Terragrunt, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitHub Actions, Harness, CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, end-to-end testing, performance testing tools such as K6, Locust, and JMeter, and secure software delivery practices.
- In-depth knowledge of databases, distributed systems, Kafka, Redis, observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana, Databricks, security tools such as SonarQube, Dependabot, and JFrog, and AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and CodeRabbit.
