Key Responsibilities:
- Create user flows, wireframes, visual design specifications, and interactive prototypes to address user pain points and achieve strategic product objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to validate design concepts, incorporate feedback, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Apply and contribute to YouTube’s global design system to maintain consistency across various product interfaces and user touchpoints.
- Clearly present design concepts, decisions, and rationale to team members, stakeholders, and leadership during design reviews.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a B.Des., M.Des., B.Tech., or M.Tech. degree programme in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, with an expected graduation year of 2028.
- Must be enrolled in a full-time degree programme and intend to return to the programme after completing the internship.
- Experience in conducting user interviews, surveys, or other user research activities.
- Relevant experience in applying user-centred design principles through internships, professional work, or academic projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Framer Studio, or similar applications.
- A design portfolio demonstrating technical design skills and an understanding of design principles.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong foundation in interaction design, graphic design, and motion design fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, creative, and visual thinking abilities, along with excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
