Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global, cross-asset-class teams and front-to-back stakeholders to establish and maintain key controls that help mitigate regulatory risks.
- Own and manage controls for over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange-traded derivatives trade and transaction reporting.
- Ensure compliance with various regulatory reporting obligations, including HKMA, ASIC/MAS, MiFID, EMIR, SFTR, CFTC, CSA, and SEC requirements, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Implement and monitor controls related to exceptions, reconciliations, quality assurance, and pairing and matching processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with under-reporting, over-reporting, and mis-reporting through effective control processes.
- Escalate identified issues to relevant stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic solutions.
- Develop and maintain management information dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk indicators.
- Respond to counterparty queries and exchange relevant information to support accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
- Manage audit requests and business queries within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle and the characteristics of typical OTC derivative products.
- Strong foundation in risk management principles and a good understanding of control frameworks.
- Awareness of the global regulatory landscape and key requirements related to trade and transaction reporting regulations.
- Technical understanding of how systems process and propagate data, perform risk calculations, and generate regulatory reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process large volumes of data and derive meaningful insights.
- Knowledge of ETL and data visualization tools such as QlikView and Power BI.
- Proficiency in programming and data analysis using VBA, Python, and SQL.
- Proficiency in project management and workflow tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Confluence.
- Previous experience working in a risk, controls, or similar environment within a global investment bank or financial institution.
