Key Responsibilities:
- Supports indirect tax activities, including GST return preparation and reviews, Invoice Management System (IMS) controls, monthly reconciliations, compliance tracking, data validation, and coordination with internal teams and external advisors.
- Coordinates GST refund activities, Invoice Management System interventions, and data center input tax credit matters by working with relevant stakeholders, tracking requirements, and supporting timely resolution and closure.
- Contributes to finance governance and reporting through timely monitoring, accurate documentation, structured follow-up, and effective coordination across various workstreams.
- Supports direct tax activities, including tax audit report coordination, income tax return preparation, income computation, data compilation, consultant liaison, and maintenance of review-ready documentation.
- Assists in the analytical review of financial and operational data, including reconciliations, variance analysis, trend analysis, cash flow analysis, working capital insights, and preparation of management reports and dashboards.
- Supports audit readiness and assurance activities by preparing required data, maintaining structured documentation, tracking information requests, and strengthening process controls and review practices.
- Collaborates with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external advisors to support process execution, address data requirements, provide timely status updates, and drive the closure of action items.
- Identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize, and optimize finance and tax processes by reducing manual effort, improving process visibility, and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Develops and supports automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions using tools such as Excel, SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Copilot, and other modern productivity platforms.
- Communicates recurring and ad-hoc analysis and results in a clear, structured, and business-ready manner, highlighting key insights, risks, recommendations, and project outcomes for relevant stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) and eligible for 12 months of Industrial Training in accordance with applicable ICAI requirements.
- Possesses a basic understanding of finance, accounting, direct taxation, indirect taxation, audit, internal controls, compliance, and business processes.
- Demonstrates hands-on proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and the use of formulas and structured data techniques.
- Has working knowledge of SAP and Power BI, with the ability to work with large datasets and translate data into meaningful business insights.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior articleship experience or practical exposure to taxation, including direct or indirect tax compliance, tax audit reports, GST returns and reconciliations, GST refunds, IMS, compliance reviews, or audit support.
- Exposure to governance frameworks, process controls, finance operations, statutory audits, internal audits, or coordination with external consultants.
- Demonstrates an interest in AI-driven process transformation, digital innovation, and the use of technology to simplify and automate repetitive finance and tax processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, along with a strong willingness and curiosity to learn new business processes quickly.
