Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier validation audits and support supplier Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Lead the supplier qualification and approval process by evaluating manufacturing capabilities, technological competencies, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risks.
- Support new product introduction and launch activities to ensure supplier quality requirements are achieved and maintained.
- Coordinate with suppliers to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for quality-related issues.
- Conduct on-site supplier assessments to investigate quality concerns, verify corrective actions, and ensure sustainable process improvements.
- Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for process optimization, quality enhancement, and cost reduction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by promoting industry best practices and methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Facilitate the escalation and resolution of critical supplier quality issues across assigned projects and supplier relationships.
- Support the Quality Manager in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting supplier quality performance metrics and product quality trends.
- Manage and coordinate supplier material and non-material cost recovery activities associated with supplier quality issues.
- Support internal and external audit preparation activities and ensure audit readiness through compliance with quality management requirements.
- Participate in and deliver special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possess 0-1 year of experience with a strong understanding of Quality Management principles and practices.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Possess knowledge of quality management systems and business process frameworks.
- Demonstrate familiarity with IATF/TS 16949 quality management standards and requirements.
- Have working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, including ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001.
- Possess an understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of measurement techniques, inspection methods, and quality control tools.
- Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Be willing and able to work in night shift schedules as required.
