Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and productize sensing camera firmware on Qualcomm chipsets for Mobile, XR, and Automotive projects.
- Design and develop embedded firmware for ISP hardware targeting different tiers of Qualcomm camera solutions.
- Work with C/C++ programming on DSP processors, including understanding processor architecture, RTOS, peripherals, and compiler/linker toolsets.
- Prototype end-to-end use cases using Firmware Test Bench environments for early firmware and hardware verification.
- Collaborate with system, software, and hardware teams during various stages of chipset design, bring-up, validation, and commercialization.
- Partner with customer engineering teams to commercialize Qualcomm camera solutions for global OEMs.
- Support the stabilization and optimization of existing solutions based on customer use cases and business requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Required Skills:
- Relevant experience in designing and implementing embedded firmware for embedded processors and microcontrollers.
- Good understanding of image processing and computer vision fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with camera, video, and computer vision hardware pipelines, including firmware development and optimization for performance, power consumption, and memory usage.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, multithreading, and RTOS/OS concepts.
- Knowledge of device driver development and communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, and UART is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with Q6 processors is preferred.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex system-level issues.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and bring up new hardware solutions.
- Experience in debugging camera, multimedia, and firmware integration issues for Mobile, XR, and IoT use cases.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- 1–3 years of relevant industry experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
