Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structured data models to support data organization, accessibility, and analytical requirements.
- Design and implement scalable Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to extract data from business source systems and populate target databases.
- Participate in transforming object and data models into appropriate database schemas while adhering to design standards and constraints.
- Interpret installation and database standards to meet project requirements and develop necessary database components.
- Create test scenarios and actively participate in testing and validation activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data transformations.
- Execute data migration activities across multiple databases and enterprise applications, including systems such as MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, and other ERP platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to define, design, and implement data table structures and data models based on business requirements.
- Analyze, develop, and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes and data migration activities.
- Work closely with stakeholders to assess and define current and future data requirements.
- Support scoping, requirements gathering, definition, and prioritization for small-scale changes, while assisting in larger and more complex change initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and recommend improvements in automated and manual data processes, including data tables, queries, and data models.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Possess relevant professional certifications, such as SAP, Microsoft Azure, or other related technology certifications.
- Hold or be willing to obtain certifications such as Certified Data Engineer or Certified Professional credentials.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrate strong expertise in defining, managing, and prioritizing scoping and requirements activities across data and system initiatives.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of database concepts, object and data modeling techniques, design principles, and the development and maintenance of physical and logical data models.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure Data Factory, SQL Analysis Services, SAP Data Services, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Maintain a strong understanding of data architecture, including the relationship between physical and logical data models.
- Demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with excellent business acumen and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, Python, or similar technologies.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrate extensive experience in data engineering and data mining within fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Exhibit strong expertise in designing and implementing modern data analytics solutions capable of processing and analyzing multi-terabyte-scale datasets.
- Possess proven experience in architecting and designing secure, highly available, and scalable data systems.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in automation and scripting, with a proven track record of successful implementations.
- Exhibit strong hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, Shell Scripting, and Python.
- Possess experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Cassandra, Storm, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrate programming experience in at least one applicable language, preferably .NET or related technologies.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in working with databases such as SAP, SQL Server, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Demonstrate experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as macros and pivot tables.
