Accountabilities:

  • Investigate and analyze data issues related to data quality, lineage, controls, and identification of authoritative data sources.
  • Execute data cleansing and transformation activities to ensure data is prepared and fit for analytical use.
  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to automate data ingestion, movement, and processing.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, to address complex business challenges.
  • Document data quality issues, findings, and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

Assistant Vice President Expectations:

  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take ownership of operational effectiveness through close collaboration with business functions and divisions.
  • Lead teams performing complex work by setting clear objectives, coaching employees toward achievement, evaluating performance against goals, and determining appropriate reward outcomes.

  • Conduct complex analysis using data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems in a creative and effective manner.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Experience in data and records governance, including data controls, data lineage, and related governance methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience working with data products, cloud platforms, and data warehouse technologies.
  • Experience within business domains such as Retail or Banking, including exposure to regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience working in a regulated environment with a strong understanding of data risk, control frameworks, and risk management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and related data querying and analysis skill sets.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of technologies and tools used to design, execute, and monitor data controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working across multiple large teams to deliver complex services with high standards of resilience, risk management, and governance.
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics and insight generation to produce actionable business insights from complex datasets.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms, along with Python programming skills, is considered an added advantage.
