Role Responsibilities:
AI, Data Science, and Technical Execution:
- Support the design, implementation, and optimization of AI-driven solutions in alignment with business and stakeholder requirements.
- Design and develop machine learning models and statistical solutions, covering the full lifecycle from problem definition to deployment, to analyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Apply Generative AI, traditional AI, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics as appropriate to business use cases.
- Collect, clean, preprocess, and manage structured and unstructured data to ensure data quality and model readiness.
- Contribute to the refinement of data-driven methodologies supporting digital and transformation initiatives.
- Learn and leverage cloud platforms to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of AI solutions.
- Reuse existing assets and adhere to IBM standards for data science, development, and governance.
- Apply best practices in MLOps and ensure responsible and ethical use of AI.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical strategies and AI-driven solutions.
- Ensure alignment with stakeholder strategic objectives and tactical priorities.
- Apply business acumen to analyze complex problems and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver value.
Project Management and Business Delivery:
- Contribute across all phases of AI and data science projects, including data exploration, model development, solution implementation, and production deployment.
- Apply Agile methodologies to plan, manage, and execute project deliverables effectively.
- Track project timelines, identify risks, and assist in resolving technical and delivery challenges.
- Design and implement measurement frameworks to evaluate AI solutions, benchmarking performance and quantifying business impact using defined KPIs.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate progress, insights, and results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and platforms.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and statistical modeling gained through coursework, academic projects, internships, or full-time roles.
- Participation in AI or data-related competitions, summits, or forums (e.g., Kaggle, hackathons) is considered an added advantage.
- Experience with prompt engineering and/or fine-tuning large language models (LLMs).
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face Transformers, and OpenAI APIs.
- Understanding of evaluation metrics and performance assessment techniques specific to LLMs.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and machine learning model development.
- Academic or practical experience in statistics, machine learning, generative AI, and traditional AI techniques.
- Strong understanding of common machine learning algorithms and frameworks, including linear regression, decision trees, random forests, gradient boosting methods (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM), neural networks, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and distributed data processing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with or exposure to commonly used Python data science libraries, such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Knowledge of APIs, containerization tools (Docker), web frameworks (Flask), or model-serving technologies.
- Hands-on experience with development and collaboration tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Git, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
