Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, review, and analyse business processes and systems to understand the design implications across Business, IT, and Operations.
- Support process reengineering initiatives and provide detailed guidance on process design, considering risk, end-to-end workflow, and cost implications.
- Conduct impact assessments for change requests related to design, scope, timelines, budget, or effort, and provide accurate estimates for new requirements, design updates, and scope changes.
- Support the development of control structures and performance scorecards (KPIs) to ensure project milestones, budgets, resource allocations, and employee engagement goals are met, implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Collaborate with markets and regions to understand the regulatory, customer, and competitive landscape.
- Assist the team by helping new members quickly understand the team’s objectives, roles, and expectations.
- Support programme leadership in effectively communicating strategic direction across global, regional, and country-level structures.
- Promote constructive cross-country, cross-function, and cross-business collaboration, and take prompt action to address behaviours inconsistent with HSBC’s diversity policy or the best interests of the business and its customers.
- Provide timely, honest, and constructive feedback to colleagues.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Demonstrate strong Business Analyst capabilities with a high level of proficiency.
- Possess a solid analytical background with exceptional attention to detail.
- Have experience working in cross-functional teams to effectively capture and refine requirements.
- Bring expertise in business and process analysis, change initiatives, and process re-engineering.
- Possess experience in planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
- Hold strong knowledge of the end-to-end Credit lifecycle for Wholesale customers, including how business data is consumed by downstream functions such as Risk and Finance.
- Understand key risk parameters such as PD, LGD, and EAD, along with their application in risk and regulatory calculations and reporting.
- Have a clear understanding of business and risk data flows, reporting metrics, and dashboard reporting.
- Possess knowledge of data controls, data transformation logic, and data normalization practices.
- Be proficient with reporting tools such as Qlik or Tableau.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and effectively at all organizational levels.
- Challenge business intent constructively to define accurate requirements and design detailed business solutions and structures.
- Continuously seek innovative approaches to improve business outcomes and deliver value to customers, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and planning skills to manage multiple large-scale responsibilities.
