Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and solution architects to gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Translate complex insurance product rules (Life, Group, and Supplemental Health) into precise business and system specifications.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), User Stories, Process Maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead requirement workshops, discovery sessions, and refinement discussions to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Ensure that all requirements are aligned with EIS functional capabilities while preserving business intent.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and presentation skills throughout the project lifecycle.
Domain & Product Expertise
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Life, Group, and Supplemental Health product lines.
- Possess working knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance as an added advantage.
- Map end-to-end policy lifecycle processes including quote, new business, underwriting, issuance, billing, claims, renewals, and lapse management.
- Support rating, product configuration, and underwriting rule design discussions in collaboration with product and actuarial teams.
EIS Platform & Integrations
- Demonstrate familiarity with the EIS Suite (PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore, CustomerCore) and its capabilities.
- Collaborate with EIS configuration, data, and integration teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements across PolicyCore, BillingCore, ClaimCore, and CustomerCore modules.
- Understand EIS integration architecture including APIs, batch processes, and middleware interactions.
- Exhibit proficiency in XML/JSON data structures, interface documentation, and data mapping concepts.
- Apply Agile delivery methodologies using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
Process & Solution Design
- Analyze and document current (“As-Is”) and future (“To-Be”) business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Apply prioritization techniques to manage and refine product backlogs and requirements.
- Partner with solution architects to validate proposed designs against business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Support test planning and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, providing post-implementation support to ensure successful delivery and alignment with business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with Product, IT, Actuarial, Operations, and QA teams to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
- Partner with integration vendors and third-party administrators to support implementation and integrations.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure clear communication and comprehensive understanding of requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in Insurance such as AINS, CPCU, CII, or LOMA.
- Agile methodology certifications such as CSPO, CSM, or SAFe Practitioner.
- Business Analysis certifications such as CCBA, CBAP, IIBA, or PMI-PBA.
- Prior experience working on major Policy Administration System (PAS) transformation programs such as EIS, Vitech, Oracle OIPA, or FINEOS.
- Strong understanding of insurance data standards, including ACORD XML and JSON API specifications.
