Key Responsibilities:
- Build scalable analytical frameworks to support product analytics for Uber’s Customer Obsession Platform.
- Act as a key partner to product managers, engineers, operations, and various data teams to shape and execute the product roadmap — from scoping business problems and applying data-driven insights to product design, to owning the experimentation cycle through global rollouts, impact estimation, and long-term monitoring.
- Proactively communicate insights and lead projects to help achieve team goals.
- Ensure data quality across critical pipelines and establish processes to triage and resolve data issues.
- Build and maintain essential data pipelines, insight dashboards, and monitoring tools to track metrics and measure overall platform health.
- Identify opportunities to develop new solutions that address customer and business pain points.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Has 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 1+ years of work experience with a Master’s degree, in a data-focused role such as product analytics, risk analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science.
- Holds an educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Economics, Statistics, or has equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrates proven proficiency in statistical languages such as SQL, SAS, or R, and/or modern programming languages like Python.
- Has prior experience working at a Product, Technology, or Analytics Services company serving businesses with millions of customers across multiple platforms and countries.
Preferred Skills:
- Possesses mastery of SQL and can write efficient and complex SQL code.
- Has experience with Python or R, experimentation methods such as A/B testing, and statistical modeling.
- Experience working in customer service-related domains within a Product, Technology, or Analytics Services company is an advantage.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle and visualize large datasets, and effectively explore and utilize raw data feeds.
- Has a strong passion for data, with the drive to source data independently and translate it into actionable insights.
- Can build a structured approach to problem-solving that results in high-quality hypotheses and solutions.
- Shows a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Communicates effectively and collaborates proactively with stakeholders.
- Works independently and autonomously, while remaining a strong team player.
