Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct external audits in compliance with PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) Auditing Standards.
- Support the team in process walkthroughs with clients to assess risks associated with technology use and identify control gaps.
- Assist in evaluating and documenting the design and operational effectiveness of technology controls (GITCs and ITACs) related to clients’ internal controls over financial reporting.
- Participate in SOC 1 and SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls), and SOC 2+ (HITRUST) assessments, following the SSAE18 attestation standards issued by AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants).
- Engage in audit training programs and contribute to industry-specific knowledge development and innovation initiatives, including adopting new software audit tools.
- Take part in the firm’s strategic initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
- Proactively manage client allocations and demonstrate flexibility in working arrangements.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members.
- Support senior team members in reviewing audit workpapers in alignment with the KPMG Audit Methodology.
- Contribute to identifying performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients or engagements.
- Identify and communicate IT audit findings to senior management and clients.
- Maintain effective communication with the GTA engagement lead and/or onshore stakeholders regarding project deliverables and progress.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines – B.E./B.Tech, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, MBA, M.Sc, MCA, M.Tech, or Chartered Accountancy (CA).
- 1 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably within a Big 4 accounting or consulting firm.
Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills:
- Proven experience in evaluating and testing both manual and automated process-level controls.
- Strong expertise in testing automated controls and General IT Controls (GITCs) across key domains, including Access to Programs and Data, Program Development and Changes, and Computer Operations across various platforms (Operating Systems, Networks, Databases, Applications).
- Working knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, and HIPAA is preferred.
- Basic understanding of core business process cycles such as Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay.
Preferred Technical & Functional Skills:
- Keen interest in staying updated with emerging technologies and innovations such as Cloud Computing, Agile methodologies, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Possession of professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, HITRUST, or ISO is a plus.
