Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing existing code where applicable.
- Contribute to breaking down larger work items into smaller, manageable tasks and provide effort estimations.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), working on-call to monitor systems, product features, or services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, and obtain approval to restore systems or services for simple issues.
- Stay up to date with current developments and continuously improve skills to enhance the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products, while promoting consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
- Demonstrate and embody the company’s culture and values in all work activities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for the role.
- Must successfully complete the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer, and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with at least 1 year of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or
- Equivalent experience.
