Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including chaos testing, performance, and scalability benchmarks, to assess the reliability and resilience of OCP platform components and features.
  • Analyze and visualize data under failure conditions (e.g., network faults, infrastructure failures, storage issues) to identify regressions and drive performance improvements.
  • Provide capacity planning guidance to ensure the product remains performant under failure scenarios.
  • Design and implement tools and automation for fault injection, load generation, and continuous integration (CI) processes.
  • Work on integrating AI to enhance test coverage and improve testing efficiency.
  • Assist customers by addressing technical issues and providing guidance on resilience and performance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to resilience and system performance.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve customer or partner cases involving virtualization reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Document and share findings, recommendations, and best practices through internal reports, presentations, blogs, and official documentation to support partners and customers.
  • Represent the team and share insights by participating in internal and external conferences related to your work and research outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with demonstrable experience or strong interest in chaos engineering, performance testing, or systems engineering.
  • Solid understanding of Linux system administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming, particularly using Bash, Python, Go, or Ansible.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or IBM Cloud.
  • Familiarity with collaborative software development methodologies, tools, and version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with container technologies, including Podman and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, Airflow, Prow, or similar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Effective presentation and public speaking skills for conferences and technical demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and dashboarding tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience or a strong interest in learning the Go programming language.
  • Experience or enthusiasm for exploring AI and its applications.
