Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed data analysis of current and incoming data feeds managed by Surveillance IT and propose solutions to establish a control framework that supports Surveillance Case Management objectives and ensures realization of business benefits.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for delivering quality outcomes, including the gathering, documentation, and successful implementation of requirements and system enhancements.
- Support the Product Owner in managing the workstream backlog and prioritizing user stories and subtasks.
- Refine and groom backlog items to ensure they meet the ‘definition of ready’ before entering development.
- Contribute to the project RAID log by identifying and raising relevant risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Engagement Lead and Project Management in relation to delivery milestones.
- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies and project meetings such as:
- Pod Backlog Refinement
- Pod Sprint Planning, Show & Tell, and Retrospective
- Pod Daily Scrum
- Attend key project forums and meetings including:
- Workstream Backlog Refinement
- Workstream Scrum
- Workstream Retrospective
- Design Forum (by invitation)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Strong knowledge of financial markets across various product classes, including Foreign Exchange (FX), Equities, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, and Futures.
- Hands-on experience in functional analysis and design, using methodologies such as Use Cases and Business Process Modelling within both Waterfall and Agile project environments.
- Proven skills in requirements elicitation, functional design, and problem-solving, with a structured and formal approach to analysis tasks.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications clearly understood by developers.
- Proficient in Agile engineering practices, including frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and LEAN.
- Experienced in using tools like JIRA and Confluence for managing requirements and project documentation.
- Demonstrates accountability and ownership by independently delivering assigned tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with global teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to trade surveillance, regulatory reporting, and market abuse detection is an advantage.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams, with sensitivity and respect for local cultural differences.
- Understanding of the challenges and success strategies related to regulatory-driven projects, including the ability to articulate and manage common obstacles in such environments.
- Basic knowledge of Unix and SQL (or other database technologies), along with experience in flat-file-based manual testing.
