Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis to support ratings, research, and analytical outreach.
- Apply MIS standards to existing data to generate valuable insights for the rating and research process, including Moody’s adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs.
- Perform data intake tasks, such as scrubbing and validating data for further use in research and ratings.
- Review and interpret financial reports, official statements, and other documents related to issuers’ performance.
- Collaborate with analysts and accounting specialists to understand the application of accounting concepts.
- Work closely with ratings and support analysts to capture required data, apply necessary adjustments, and provide essential information for the rating team.
- Independently manage routine deliverables, including preparation for portfolio reviews, credit opinions, and outreach presentations.
- Proactively participate in projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members in resolving queries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation.
- Experience in fundamental finance or accounting is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of fundamental finance concepts and financial statements.
- Basic knowledge of capital markets and their functioning.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes accurately under supervision.
- Comprehensive understanding of datasets, including input and output requirements.
