Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Security Sales Group by providing expertise in security systems, including Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and related technologies.
- Prepare detailed sales estimates, including project take-offs, specification interpretation, scope of work creation, and risk analysis.
- Develop final cost estimates and proposals to support the sales team in customer prospecting, engagement, and bidding strategy.
- Lead, coordinate, and ensure the timely completion of cost estimates and proposals.
- Perform project take-offs by quantifying equipment and device counts from bid documents.
- Analyze sequences of operations to determine point counts, materials, and required control devices.
- Interpret specifications to identify required labor and compliance with code-related requirements.
- Design system network riser diagrams and develop the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Scope of Work (SOW).
- Create subcontractor technical bid packages and collaborate with the Procurement team and Sales Executives on strategy.
- Source and obtain quotes from external vendors for ancillary products and services.
- Develop and finalize customer proposals with accurate pricing and technical details.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with remote sales and operations teams across different time zones.
- Utilize company-specific design, bid, and quotation tools for proposal development.
- Assist the sales team by addressing technical and pricing inquiries.
- Maintain complete documentation for all estimates and support the transition process when proposals are converted into orders.
- Participate in cost review and technical handover meetings with the operations team.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A diploma is preferred.
- Experience in security systems, with demonstrated expertise in Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Intrusion systems and devices, is preferred.
- Proficiency in using an Estimating/Quoting system is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
- Capability to design networked Building Security Systems.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Understanding of the building construction process.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in French is required for roles supporting Quebec.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements, identify needs, and resolve issues effectively.
- Adaptability to shifting demands and competing priorities from customers and internal teams while maintaining time management and meeting deadlines consistently.
