Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with BCG case teams and practices across the analytics value chain to frame business challenges, design and implement analytical solutions, and interpret insights to address client needs.
- Utilize geospatial analytics and tools, leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Python, and visualization/analytical platforms such as Tableau and Alteryx, to solve complex location-based analytical problems for clients.
- Apply advanced geospatial techniques, including geospatial clustering, network analysis, location-based optimization, and predictive analytics/modeling, to deliver actionable insights.
- Work as part of Geo Analytics, a sub-team within BCG X.Delivery specializing in geospatial analytics, contributing to projects across industries and regions.
- Partner with X.Delivery Teams to harness existing tools and code bases for delivering impactful, data-driven solutions that address critical business problems.
- Participate in a rapidly growing analytics enterprise at BCG, focused on delivering practical, technology-driven results to clients across various industries.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, statistics, geo-statistics, economics, operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Geo Analytics, with preference for candidates holding an advanced degree.
- Educational background in geospatial-related fields such as Geography, Remote Sensing, Urban Planning, Statistics/Geo Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
Preferred skills:
- Prior experience working in a global organization or professional services firm is preferred.
- Proficiency in data management, including data modeling, data integrity QA/QC, and database administration.
- Hands-on experience with GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, or CART.
- Programming and coding expertise in data science using Python and/or R.
- Knowledge of descriptive statistics and statistical methods (e.g., correlation, regression, clustering) with practical applications in machine learning.
- Familiarity with BI and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience handling, processing, and deriving insights from remotely sensed data is preferred.
